XRP, Dogecoin Flash ‘Opportunity’ Signals Again: Can Bulls Break Through?

XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) is up 4.5% in 24 hours as data provider Santiment flagged the token alongside Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) for sitting in territory that has historically marked favorable buying zones.

Why XRP and DOGE Stand Out Again

Santiment Intelligence posted on X that Dogecoin’s 365-day MVRV ratio sits near 0.74, meaning recent holders remain deeply underwater on average, while XRP’s reading sits around 0.92, also placing traders in net losses.

MVRV compares an asset’s market value to the average price holders actually paid, and readings below 1.0 suggest more sellers are sitting on losses than gains.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) and Chainlink (CRYPTO: LINK) look far more neutral by comparison, with their 365-day MVRV readings clustering between 0.97 and 1.04.

Santiment said that gap puts average holders in those three tokens near breakeven, with little sign of either heavy profit-taking risk or deep capitulation.

This isn’t the first time this signal has flashed for XRP and DOGE. As Benzinga reported on Sept. 24, both tokens showed similarly negative MVRV readings while trading near $1.50 and $0.081, respectively.

XRP went on to rally to $1.62 within two days of that report, before falling all the way to $1.25 by Oct.18. The token now trades back near $1.35, essentially where it started a month ago, despite the sharp round trip in between.

What’s Different This Time Around

September’s MVRV signal came alongside a price breakout, with whale transactions spiking and more than 3,600 new XRP wallets created in a single stretch.

This round looks different: the same deeply negative MVRV reading is showing up after a sharp selloff instead of a rally, meaning it reflects capitulation rather than fresh momentum.

Where XRP and DOGE Stand Technically

XRP is holding above the $1.35 Fibonacci level but facing resistance at $1.37, where several moving averages converge.

Clearing that zone opens a path toward $1.43, while support sits near $1.34.

Meanwhile, Dogecoin sits below all four major EMAs despite its recent bounce.

Resistance between $0.084 and $0.086 caps the recovery attempt, while a drop below $0.080 could expose support closer to $0.075.
